We arrive in Arezzo, an ancient city of Etruscan origin which over the centuries has always maintained an important role in Tuscany thanks to its position along the Via Cassia. We visit its historic center with the guide, with the splendid Piazza Grande, the Church of San Domenico and the Basilica of San Francesco with the cycle of frescoes by Piero della Francesca. We arrive in Siena in the evening where we await dinner.
2 DayWe reach the Val d'Orcia, a Unesco heritage site, and go to discover its splendid landscapes and most beautiful villages. With the guide we visit: Pienza, an authentic Renaissance jewel, San Quirico d'Orcia, an ancient stop on the Via Francigena famous for its Collegiate Church, Bagno Vignoni with its thermal water pool located in the main square and Montalcino, home of Brunello. Free lunch during visits and dinner at the hotel.
3 DayThis morning we move from Siena and walk the gentle slopes of the Tuscan hills. We arrive in Monteriggioni, an enchanting medieval village located on the top of a hill and enclosed by a wall, where we stroll with the guide. Then we reach the winery immersed in the Chianti hills where we have lunch and taste the famous local wine. In the afternoon, with the guide, we take a walk in Castellina in Chianti with the imposing fortress that dominates the central square. We return to Siena where dinner is free and we have the opportunity to join an optional dinner in the district, with an evening guide of Siena.
4 DayWe start the day with a visit to Siena, the city of the Palio, which is held every year on July 2nd and August 16th: we visit with the guide Piazza del Campo, with its particular shell shape, the exteriors of the Palazzo Comunale and the Torre del Mangia , symbol of the power and elegance of the city and the marvelous Duomo. After free lunch we move to San Gimignano, and admire the Cathedral and the many towers that make the profile of this small fortified city unique. In the evening farewell dinner at the hotel.
5 Day
In the morning we visit Montepulciano with the tour guide, an enchanting medieval village enclosed within stone walls and perched at about 600 meters above sea level. We leave for the return journey.
