Castrocaro Terme known since Roman times, the mineral waters of Castrocaro were rediscovered in the first half of the nineteenth century and since then have still been used at the Terme di Castrocaro. The sulphurous and salsobromoiodic waters, which come directly from the hills of Bolga and the springs of the park to the Castrocaro Terme, are used in their nascent state for their optimal chemical composition and are able to modify the organic tissues they come into contact with, causing biological specific effects. The salsobromoiodic waters, on the other hand, which are collected between 70 and 150 meters deep in layers of porous rock called "spungone", are distinguished by their intense green color, the result of the presence of natural chlorella, and for the extraordinary richness of Salts that enhance the healing effect especially if used locally. Used for thermal treatments, in the pools and in the wellness path of the Magiche Acque Thermal Spa, these waters are mixed with clays to create muds.
